Your longhaired bearded Correspondent, writing at a tall table. Outfit: a white ren-fest style shirt with long and very poofy sleeves, and a pair of vintage blue denim Dickies bib overalls.
At the dining room table, working on the very newsletter you're reading now! I have already declared 2026 to be the Year of Poofy Shirts And Overalls. More on that later, though.

Dearest Readers,

It is my hope that this missive finds you all, and finds you well. I'm hoping those things because in the case of the latter, well, I genuinely wish you all well! In the case of the former, though, it is because I have, after much consideration and rumination and, it must be admitted, procrastination, I have finally made two decisions. Firstly, I have decided to resume my initially halting and inconsistent efforts at maintaining a newsletter, with my main goals of being less halting and inconsistent this time around. Secondly, I have for various reasons decided to change my newsletter platform from Substack to Ghost. As I write this I have completed the various "import" procedures to bring my Substack subscribers and content over here, so if you're reading this, that means that I have done things correctly. And if you're not reading this, well...that means, to quote Doc Brown, "that this damned thing doesn't work at all!"

In any event, this is just my brief entry note on Ghost to let you know that I still exist and that this will be resuming quite soon. I'm still kicking things around as far as a frequency of posting here, but in general, I intend to lean heavily into content creation in 2026, and I further intend this newsletter to be a big part of that. In the meantime, I hope you will visit my personal website, ForgottenStars.net, which will always be my main base of operations online.

As ever, your affectionate and humble narrator,
--K.
